    This sweet faced tin lithograph Holstein cow and her adorable calf set, dates from the early 1900s. These are old and authentic advertising pieces from the 19-teens thru 1920s era. They were part of an advertising campaign that sent these little cattle to farmers' homes, encouraging them to write in for catalogs and buy
    DeLaval
    products. Several breeds were used...these are Holsteins. Note:
    DeLaval
    suggested that recipients bend the legs slightly so they could be stood up.
