Old Advertising Paperweight
Description:
Presented for your consideration is this neat old advertising paperweight. Made of cast iron, the paperweight is in the shape of an alligator and is a dark brown and black color. The paperweight is porcelain enameled. Underside of the paperweight has advertising in raised lettering. Advertising reads "The Independent Stove Co. Owosso, Mich." The Independent Stove Company was in business in Owosso from 1908 to 1949, when it was sold to the Prizer Painter Stove Company in Pennsylvania. The paperweight is solid and is free of chips and breaks. Would make a great addition to any advertising or stove memorabilia collection!
A small piece of the enameling is missing on the tip of the tail. Very light age wear. Overall in VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
Measures 5 3/8" long, 1 3/4" wide at the widest point and 3/4" tall.
