    This listing is for a NEW a/c blower resistor for all 1965-mid 1970

    Olds Cutlass, 442 & F-85 with factory air-conditioning.  Replaces part #588916.
    ***
    Some later 1970 models use a switch that has a different connection pattern.
    This may also fit other Oldsmobile full size vehicles in approximately the same year rage.

    lease compare the pictures and confirm this is correct for your car by either looking at your current resistor or the plugs that connect to it.
    TECH NOTE - The blower resistor typically will not fail on it's own.  A failed or failing (high amp draw) blower motor or debris in the housing preventing airflow across the resistor coils are the usual causes.  If you have no high-speed switch, the likely cuase is a bad high fan relay and/or a burnt out terminal on the fan switch.
