This Banknote is printed in 1 Color Black.
The style of Banknote is a Perkins Plate Note, with the State name
MASSACHUSETTS
visible on both right and left edge of the note.
Maine did not become a state until 1820.
The reverse of this note is unprinted.
The right side of this Obsolete Banknote has been repaired, I have outlined the repair in orange.
The note is cut along the designs, leaving no margins, typical for New England note.
There are some nicks, splits and pinholes in this 212 year old Obsolete Banknote.
All that said, its nicely preserved for a note issued for circulation in 1809 on very thin paper.
