    Description

    A vintage cast iron souvenir advertising skillet ashtray with the words “COSHOCTON OHIO" and a depiction of a canal boat being pulled by a horse.  Coshocton is a city in Ohio about 60 miles east of Columbus, and was a stop on the historic Ohio and Erie Canal that opened in 1827, connecting Lake Erie and the Ohio River for commercial traffic.
    Size is 3-3/4“ diameter plus wings x 6-1/4“length with handle. In very good condition, finished in flat black paint.  Stamped on the bottom "SANCAST COSHOCTON OHIO".  A fairly heavy casting, 1 lb. 3 oz.
