    1862 The Manufacturers Bank note from Macon, Georgia.
    This bank operated from 1857 until it failed in the 1860's.
    This colorful green and black note features a Vignette of an allegorical maiden floating with an eagle and the Stars and Stripes above the bank title. On the lower left is a portrait of Geo. M. Troup and on the lower right is the Georgia Coat of Arms. Some banks such as this one were lucky enough to have notes printed in reserve to issue after hostilities began.
    This Civil War era note grades Very Fine with a small rust hole and some minor pinholes.
