    This bank operated from 1859 until it failed in 1865 and had branches in 10 different cities; This was payable in Fayetteville!
    An attractive red and black note with portraits of Washington and Marshall. On the bottom left is a Vignette of a Slave harvesting cotton. At the center a farmer holds up hay for his horse to eat. And at the bottom right is the seldom seen Vignette of Benjamin Franklin setting type!
    This note is PMG Grade Choice Fine 15 with some pinholes.
